+ Testis and Scrotum

Testis Cancer: If concerned about solid lump, please order an urgent USS and call us with the result; we will review the patient within 24hours.

Scrotal swelling/mass: If mass that is likely benign, please order a scrotal USS, and if result ok, send us a paper or email referral.

+ Prostate

PSA screening: We recommend yearly PSA screening in men aged 50-75yo, especially in men with family history of prostate / breast cancer. A brief discussion with the patient prior to checking PSA is recommended to explain it is a cancer screening test and if raised it may need further investigation with biopsy and surgical management. We will happily follow up all raised PSAs.

+ Bladder

Haematuria: Please organise MSU and USS KUB, if any mass identified please call to make urgent referral, otherwise please send regular referral for investigation of all haematuria

Urinary problems: Please organise a MSU and an USS renal tract to assess post void residual, prostate size in men, and for any hydronephrosis.

+ Kidneys

Kidney mass: Please organise bloods and CT abdo with contrast.

Kidney stones or colic: Simple CT KUB is preferable or if severe pain / fevers send straight to emergency and please let us know so we can see the patient asap.
